Despite the fact that there are many Islamic Institutes and Mosques in the Midlands area, very few cater for the educational needs of Muslim women, leaving the mothers of our future generation unmindful of the requirements of their religion.

As-Suffa Institute have worked tirelessly to establish a dedicated programme for Muslim women with specialist courses tailored to their needs. We have dedicated female staff, educated to level on par with the male staff, to deliver programmes of learning for Muslim women in the community.

Work is underway to begin the extension project to add extra space to our building.  This will allow us to offer sisters their own dedicated area to study in a halal segregated environment.

All our courses and talks including the Condensed Alim Course is open for sisters.  Sisters are seated in a secluded room and are able to view class notes on a projection screen via a (one-way) video link and interact with the Scholars via an Audio link.

At weekend there are women-only Somalian classes, where women from the Somalian Community gather together, holding community meetings, workshops and presentations.
