Dar-Ul-Ifta, Councelling & Youth work

The Muslim population of Birmingham is over 200,000, such a large population will inevitably encounter a wide range of issues related to their personal, family and social lives.  Unfortunately, in such a large city there are few recognised traditional institutes to whom Muslims can turn to for recourse in Islamic guidance. In light of the aforementioned, As-Suffa Institute employ the expert advice ot Mufti Sajaad Mohammad who has been trained to issue fatwa in all areas of Muslim life.

Counselling & Youth Work

Many issues related to social problems are not simply not solved by giving fatwas and require one-to-one support. Every problem
is unique and the solutions are not always straightforward thus requiring interpersonal contact through counselling.

As-Suffa Institute is well recognised within our community and is particularly active in youth work. As well as working with local councils and youth organisations We hold many lectures, presentations and workshops for young Muslims to help them overcome their their issues.  We are currently holding weekly group sessions with ex-offenders who are taught and monitored by well-educated and experienced local community social workers and mentors.
