Question:

1) Is enlargement of male genital organs permissible because I am worries that I may not be able to please my wife to be?

2) Is it permissible to remove unwanted hair from the chest and back which look really unattractive and may not be very pleasing to a potential wife?

3) I am young and already losing hair on my head, is it permissible for me to use laser hair surgery or other forms techniques to regain hair?

Answer:

[1] It is not permitted to have enlargement surgery because this is not such a defect that comes under necessity. In fact, often it is seen in the current culture of vanity and obsession with looking good, that people fall into a state of an inferiority complex which leads them to seek surgery when there, in reality, is nothing wrong with them. They should be grateful for the appearance Allah taala has bestowed upon them. There are thousands of people in the world with severe deformities and disabilities and they do not have the means to get the real surgery they desperately need, which in the end forces some of them into living in isolation. You should pay no attention to these thoughts at this time. However, if after marriage you find that there indeed is a problem then you must all other forms of medical advice before resorting to surgery.

[2] Regarding the hair on the chest, the answer above applies to this question also. If, however, the hair is considerably excessive it will be permitted to trim it.

[3] Laser surgery and other such treatment is permitted to cure hair loss provided one has lost hair prematurely.
