is it permissable for men to pluck the hair between the eyebrows?

Question:

Is it permissable for men to pluck the hair between the eyebrows? I have read that the prophet (peace be upon him) had hair between the eybrows combining the eyebrows together? but is it permissible to remove the hair between?

In the works on Shamail such as Imam Manavi's work, it states that the blessed eyebrows were not joined of the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) and that is the most sound view according to scholars. They were certainly dominant and manly. Thus, in view of this if someone's eyebrows are joined or excessive beyond the norm, then it is permitted to remove that unsightly hair. This should not be taken as permission to pluck hair for mere beautification, as some women do, and which has been explicitly forbidden.
