| Being afflicted by Trials |
Question:
If someone is being afflicted by a trial, a very heavy one (each trail is diffrent for each person, something may apprear immence to one yet nothing to someone else), is there any Dhikr or ayah's or surah of Quran one can recite for some kind of sakeena. Some kind of peace of mind, I mean to ease the trial and make things alittle more bearable. Jazakallahu Khairun Katheerah, I 100% appreaciate the service that is provided here, Allah grant every sucess to the seekers of Truth. Ameen ya Rabal Al-Ameen. Answer:
In trials a person should remember Allah taala as much as possible, for the trial in reality came from Him as a blessing in disguise. It is a blessing in disguise because it is a powerful invitation from the Almighty to get close to Him, through calling upon him, Duas, worship and Dhikr. Thus if the trial is understood properly, by the end of it, and Allah taala promises there will be an end to it (Inna Ma`l Usri Yusra), one will have become a better Muslim. There is also a specific Dua taught by our Messeneger (peace and blessings upon him) for tribulations that should be recited at this time. It is: LA ILAAHA ILLALAAHUL-HALEEMUL-KAREEM SUBHAANALLAAHI RABBIL-ARSHILAZEEM ALHAMDULILLAAH RABBIL-AALAMEEN. ("There is no god but Allah the Clement the Generous, glory be to Allah the Lord of the great throne and all praise is to Allah the Lord of the Worlds"). This Hadith is recorded in Shaikh Abd al-Rauf al-Manavi's "Fayd al-Qadeer" with a sound chain.
