Computer games

Question:

What is the ruling on playing computer games, if you do not miss out any fard or wajib acts?

Answer:

bismillah.png

The ruling of the Shariah varies depending on the kind of computer game it is. If the game glamourises violence and crime then without doubt it is haram, even if a person remains puntual in offering the five prayers. Similarly if a game contains music or images of human figures it will be unlawful. However, if the game is designed to sharpen the intellect, and is free of the above things or can be made free of them, such as some kind of a racing game or puzzle then it will be permissible.
