Fajr in the summer

Question:

I noticed that the fajr times of a local Imam Hanafi (ra) masjid have crept back and are in line with the local Imam Shafi(ra)following mosque However when does fajr time actually reappear? And can one pray at 2am or more precisely at 1.41am currently

Answer:

There is difference of opinion amongst the scholars on how to determine the start time for Fajr in the summer period due to the absence of the disappearance of the white twilight. Thus, in order to stay away from following one's own desires and whims, one should pray according to the timetable prepared by your local Mosque for this period. Thus it is fine to pray at 2AM, if according to the formula being employed by your Mosque Salah time has started at that time
