Reciting Fatihah at the end of a Majlis, Dua or Wird, innovation or not?

Question:

I am a Mureed upon the Shaadhili Tareeqah and I am also a Deobandi Hanafi. I have question regarding something which has been causing me some discomfort. I have noticed at the end of any Zikr Majlis held and at the end of our daily Wird/Wazeefah we are expected to recite Surah Faatihah. I want to know if there is any evidence for doing such and what is the opinion of the 'Ulama of Deoband regarding such? I was under the impression that reciting Faatihah at the end of a Majlis, Dua' or Wird is a Bid'ah,

Answer:

It is Mubah/Permitted according to most scholars, and as long as it is performed with this understanding to call it a Bidah is a mistake.
