Does sweating break wudu?

Question:

Recently i was asked if sweating breaks wudu. My answer was that it shouldn't.
Sweat contains urine, so how could it not break wudu? I was asked. I answered that islam makes things easy for us and not difficult.when we're hot we sweat as long as we carry out proper hygiene ie: gusl and so on so that we don't smell and offend fellow people general sweating should not be a problem. We can't bathe every minute of the day.

My question is, was I right in saying this to this person?

You were right in that sweating does not break wudu. As for the example you gave, it is acceptable as it explains the wisdom for why such a difficult ruling was not given by the Shariah. The real reason however is simply the fact that there is no evidence to establish that the excretion of sweat breaks wudu. Whenever the jurists establish a certain thing, such as bleeding, vomit, sleep, laughing aloud in Salah, urine and stool, break wudu it is on the basis of some textual evidence from the Holy Qur'an and Hadith.

In the case of discharge of stool and urine breaking wudu and their exiting from the two passage ways, there does exist evidence such as the hadith mentioned by Hafiz Jamal al-Din al-Zaylai in Nasb al-Rayah, vol.1 pg.37: The Messenger of Allah was asked what breaks wudu and he replied: "Whatever exits from the two passages."
