Question

At my workplace I requested a prayer room for sisters or atleast a screen to be provided to segerate us when we need to pray. They have refused both my requests and as a muslim female I'm not sure what to do as I understand that you can not pray around non mehrams but at the same time there is no where else to pray. I can not leave my job either as I have financial difficulties. In this situation what is the best thing for me to do.

Should I pray there despite the fact that there may be non mehrams in the room also praying or should I kaza my salaah when i get home?

Answer

You should use your break time to offer your prayers, and do so in quiet place in the building or look for a place elsewhere. It will be sinful to allow a prayer to be missed, thus since this is clearly going to be a long term problem, you should continue to look for another work place that is more accomodating and also do Dua to Allah taala to help you in this problem.
