Kaffarah for broken fast(s)
Kaffarah is the compensation for intentionally breaking a fast without a valid excuse. Kaffarah is to fast consecutively for 60 days. If you are unable to do this due to a health condition or other valid excuse, you must feed 60 poor people 1 meal each.
Alternatively, you may pay the equivalent in cash. Based on this the kaffarah amount is £300, which we will distribute on your behalf to those who eligible to receive this.
