Are you fulfilling the right of the Quran?
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “the Quran is a proof for you or against you.” [Muslim]
Imagine the Word of ALLAH himself, brought by Jibril the best of angels to The prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) the best of all creation, testifying for you on the day of judgement! A day when every small deed will be more precious than a mountain of gold and you have the Quran on your side! How amazing is that!
Learning how to recite correctly will impact not only your Quran recitation but also your dua’s and more importantly your Salah.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him ) said,
“Allah has His own people among mankind.”
“O Messenger of Allah, who are they?”
“The people of the Qur’an, the people of Allah and those who are closest to Him’”

This level is an introduction to reading Arabic for those with no previous background in Arabic or tajweed, or those who learnt a long time ago or have problems pronouncing particular letters. This level goes through all the letters and basic markings to allow a person to read the Arabic script with basic fluency.
This level begins to introduce the rules of tajweed, looking at the theory behind the letters, the differences between heavy and light letters, the concept of ghunna and the rules of nun sakin. The aim is for the student to reach a fluent, even if slow, pace of reading whilst applying the rules covered.
This level covers a number of different rules of tajweed, including qalqalah, hamza, meem sakin, ra, lam and introduces the concept of madd. The student by the end of this level should be able to apply all of the rules covered whilst also reading more confidently than the first two levels.
This level is focused on correct lengthening and stopping in recitation, and introduces the idea of speeds of reading. The level will cover various different rules of madd as well as the different kinds of stop symbols. The student should have a solid level of fluency in their reading, whilst learning to apply the rules that are covered.
This level is an additional stage between levels 3 and 4 in which a student has the opportunity to work 1 on 1 with their teacher for a time slot each week in which they will work purely on the fluency of the student’s recitation and applying all of the rules that have been studied so far.
This is the final level of the tajweed course, and covers some of the less common rules, such as different types of idgham and rare symbols, as well as going into more detail about the characteristics (sifat) of letters. Students will also be briefly introduced to the concept of the qira’at which will encourage them to undertake further study after this course. By the end of this level the student should be able to read the Qur’an fluently with few mistakes, and should be comfortable with the majority of rules related to reciting the Qur’an.
