Course overview
As-Suffa is pleased to offer a maktab for children aged between 5-12 years of old. Here, children will learn how to read the Quran. A maktab forms the foundations for every Muslim community, instilling
the tools and characteristics required to support the development of our youth.

Year 1
Nooraani Qaida up to Izhaar.
Selected duas prompted by teacher.
Selected Islamic Stories read by teacher.
Selected Islamic fiqhi rituals explained by teacher.
Year 2
Nooraani Qaida complete, begin Amma.
Dua book 1.
Safar Islamic Studies book 1 (history, Fiqh and Aqeedah).
Hifz of surahs: last 10 (for those who have gained fluency).
Year 3
Amma complete, begin surah Baqarah.
Dua book 1 & 2.
Safar Islamic Studies book 2 and begin book 3 (history, Fiqh, Aqeedah).
Hifz of surah Humaza – Wadduha.
Year 4
10-15 juz.
Dua book 2.
Safar Islamic Studies book 3 and begin book 4 (history, Fiqh and Aqeedah).
Surah Layl – Mutaffifeen.
Year 5
Complete Quran and begin 29th juz hifdh.
Dua book 3, with revision of book 1 & 2.
Safar Islamic Studies book 4 and begin book 5 (history, Fiqh and Aqeedah).
Surah Infitaar – Naba.
Year 6
Complete Quran, hifdh of 28th & 29th juz.
Revision of duas.
Safar Islamic Studies book 5 and begin book 6 (history, Fiqh and Aqeedah).
Year 7
Continue hifdh in hifdh class or complete 27th juz.
Revision of duas.
Safar Islamic Studies book 7 (history, Fiqh and Aqeedah).
