“Whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.” [5:32]

Background: Lifesavers is a programme run by the British Islamic Medical Association, aiming to unite healthcare professionals to serve their local communities by teaching essential life-saving skills in mosques across the country. The Lifesavers initiative began locally in 2014, teaching Basic Life Support skills in three mosques in London. Alhamdulillah since then, by the Mercy of Allah, the project has expanded nationwide to cover 100+ mosques in the UK.

Programme Structure:
The BIMA Lifesavers programme corresponds to the British Heart Foundation’s Heartstart programme teaching. The 3 Basic Life Support skills are taught:
– CPR
– Recovery Position
– Management of Choking
Participants will be taught each skill, be shown a practical demonstration, and will then have the opportunity to practice under the supervision of our trained volunteers.

Certificates will be provided!
