What began in 2012 with good intentions alongside a few volunteers handing out hot drinks and meals to rough sleepers, has, in turn, become a nationwide project. Real change has been made and we are constantly expanding our support to the often neglected population of our society.
Legal Advice Clinics
As-Suffa offers a free Legal Advice Clinic. Since its inception in 2016, we have seen over 250 people to date. During this period, we have assisted them with various aspects of law – including benefits, immigration, housing, debts, employment, family, and much more.
Our Wellbeing Practice is a mental health service providing counselling and psychotherapy. Discuss your issue privately with our therapist. The therapeutic process allows you the time and the space you need to address your concerns.
The As-Suffa Food Bank project was initiated in 2016 to supplement our Homeless project. From our experience of feeding the homeless, we discovered that families were also visiting the Homeless provision, as they didn’t have enough food at home.
As-Suffa are pleased to have set up a flourishing scouts programme. The importance of Scouts in the age of modern technology is something which is often overlooked. Scouting teaches young children how to build their confidence, self-esteem, important life skills, and outdoor team-building abilities, all in a fun and enjoyable environment.
The As-Suffa Dawah team is dedicated to spreading the pure teachings of Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims alike. We run numerous projects to achieve this.
With re-offending rates at an all-time high, As-Suffa Outreach established the New Roots project to make prisoner transitions from jail to community seamless. To achieve this, we offer ex- offenders support at a critical juncture in their rehabilitation in a bid to break the cycle of re-offending.
Street to Feet
Street to Feet is a cross-functioning holistic support project. We aim to collaborate with service users and guests who attend our feed the homeless provision site. Here we assess their needs and help them improve their lifestyle.
